Bush whines about being a criminal (again).
Of course Bush is blasting the federal court ruling that his wiretap program is illegal. Thank God there are still some judges out there that understand, hold to, and defend the Constitution.
I really love this section of Judge Diggs 43-page opinion from her ruling.
"The judge said the government, in defending the program, appeared to be saying the president had the "inherent power" to violate laws of Congress. "It was never the intent of the framers to give the president such unfettered control," Taylor wrote in a 43-page opinion. "... There are no hereditary Kings in America and no powers not created by the Constitution. So all 'inherent powers' must derive from that Constitution."
This is as you recall, the same Constitution that Bush swore an oath to defend and uphold.
