Fake TV News: Widespread and Undisclosed - Center for Media and Democracy

The media isn't just biased, it's bought.
Major media outlets in every region are airing these paid, PR firm written and produced 'news' stories without disclosure. In fact the Bush administration has been under fire for doing this as well.

One of the first steps* of a forming facist government is to gain control of the media. Here in the 'Land of the Free' this step has long been thoroughly accomplished.

Come on America, do not go gently into this bad night, but rage, rage against the dying of your rights.

Limbaugh Detained At Airport

Another great example of the "do as we say, not as we do" attitude of the phoney pretenders that have taken over the right. Though in the case of Limbaugh, I think he really was legit, way back when, and got sucked in to the culture of corruption and lies that he had unknowingly defended so long.

And on a side note, what was all the Viagra for?

Florida Candidate Arrested While Investigating Voter Fraud

This should scare the hell out of anyone that reads it.
Not only is vote stealing going on, but people that speak out are being intimidated and arrested.
Tell your state representative that you want anti-paperless voting laws, NOW, before 2008.

Ford ramping up it's support of gay lifestyles.

First they helped and supported the Nazi's in WW-II, and now they are actively promoting and donating huge sums of money to pro homosexuality groups.
Ford's support became so vocal and offensive that nearly 50 organizations are calling for a boycott of Ford products, led by the American Family Association.

More reliable, and better owner satisfaction (Ford's crappy Powerstroke 6.0l being the one exception)

Vote for Bush or Die

Here's a good blog post on the politics of paranoia I mentioned in my last post. These people will do absolutely anything to get what they want. They have no morals of any kind.

Warning!

You're going to see more of this stuff for two reasons.

I. Elections are coming and the Republicans have nothing going for them, nothing making them worth voting for except for the fact that they know that the voting public think that only the Republicans can save them from "terror". So they usually dredge some up.

II. They want domestic terror threats. They need them to convince us all to give up our rights and freedoms.
They our fear to cloud our minds so they can shackle us while they cut up the Constitution.

Mark my words. You will see more stories like this, and you will see new laws and policies that take away rights that are unalienable.

What you've been told about cars is wrong...

This is yet more evidence that Hybrids, as the technology stands today, are a waste of money. They are overly complicated, failure prone, even dangerous, and don't live up to their fuel economy claims.
The AutoWeek reviewers basically rate the diesel Jetta tops in every way.
Notice their ravings on the Corvette too. Performance and economy aren't exclusive. Imagine if the Corvette had displacement on demand like the new Tahoe (which has nearly the same aerodynamic coefficient as the Vette). I bet the Vette could beat 35 MPG.

Now go read this article by Gale Banks, one of the most respected and knowledgeable men in the automotive industry.
Go on, read the article, I'll wait......

Ok, now, expand your closed, automotive industry marketing brainwashed, little mind and imagine a twin turbo diesel powered Corvette. 500+ horsepower, 50+ MPG
and cleaner emissions than a gasoline powered model. Throw in BioDiesel and now you can kick tail-dragger butt while patrioticly reducing our foreign oil dependence and increasing fuel economy.

[sidebar: Buzz Bradley in British Columbia, Canada couldn't wait, he built a very low tech, non-turbo, mechanical injection diesel Corvette that is still fun to drive, and get's 50+ MPG, there's no reason GM can't make a high-tech version that has more power (think Banks power) and better mileage]

Start demanding that your government representatives promote, and fund diesel engine and BioDiesel fuel research and production. Start asking your car dealers for diesel vehicles.

Come on people, fight the war on OPEC. Go diesel, and drag the government and the car companies kicking and screaming with you.

Is there Constitutional basis for our two-party system?

I've never liked the so called "two party system". It's nothing more than an unconstitutional way to abuse the already ill-advised electoral college in order to keep control of the office of President and bend the Congress.

The real reason?

Given that the current administration is completely and utterly under the thumb of big business, and in particular the oil industry, I have no doubt that pressure was put on to shut down the progress, use and sale of systems like the one United Nuclear is working on. Imagine after all if half the country converted their vehicles to run on clean, nearly free hydrogen power, and worse, if they did it themselves, using solar and wind power to generate the hydrogen. That cuts out the oil industry, big business, and the coal/electrical industry. Can't have that.

Test yourself...

OK here's a test. Read these links.
If you are outraged, then you are still ok and there's hope for us.
If you think it's all a good idea and we're all better for it, then you're proof that we're all becoming brainwashed sheep being acclimated to an increasingly fascist environment.

Don't try this at home!
